How the arrangements differ
Parks here fall into these groups (some fit two). The groups are our own plain-English labels from Which access scheme suits you?, not the parks’ words.
7 of 8 use a timed return (you wait elsewhere): Alton Towers, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Chessington World of Adventures Resort, Flamingo Land Resort, LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, Paultons Park (Peppa Pig World), Thorpe Park Resort.
3 of 8 use an alternative or accessible entrance, where the normal wait may still apply: Drayton Manor Resort, Flamingo Land Resort, Paultons Park (Peppa Pig World).
Staffordshire · United Kingdom · App-based virtual queue
Eligible visitors pre-book a Ride Access Pass. The app starts a waiting countdown at the ride entrance before another ride can be selected.
Evidence: The Ride Access Pass page and its application FAQ both say apply at least three months before your visit (checked 1 October 2026). Apply as early as you can; confirm your arrangements and RAP availability before booking.
Companions: The named pass holder must ride with their companions. Check current app and ride guidance for the group arrangement.
Chessington, Surrey · United Kingdom · Ride Access Pass
Nimbus-assessed Ride Access Pass booked in the Merlin app, with a timed virtual queue, plus a zoo, SEA LIFE and two on-site hotels.
Evidence: Eligibility is decided by Nimbus. The park names no UK or EU documents for the pass; benefit letters and Blue Badge are named only for carer tickets.
Companions: The holder plus up to three others, at least one aged 14 or over; Red passes need an essential companion on rides. One free carer ticket on documented evidence.
Near Tamworth, Staffordshire · United Kingdom · Easy Access Service
A Nimbus-assessed wristband lets you use ride exits or access queues up to a daily ride allowance; the park does not publish a return-time system or the allowance.
Evidence: Nimbus assesses your application and supporting evidence; the park names no UK or EU documents itself. The Nimbus form says benefit confirmation and professional letters can be considered.
Companions: The holder plus one or two others depending on the card (the park's pages say both 'one carer' and '1 or 2'). Free Essential Companion ticket needs a +1 or +2 symbol.
Kirby Misperton, near Malton, North Yorkshire · United Kingdom · Wristband and Queue Pass
Flamingo Land issues an orange wristband and a Queue Pass card that lets eligible guests use ride exit entrances, with a written time at which you may choose another ride.

Companions: One free carer ticket and one carer pass as standard, more carer passes at management discretion, and up to four yellow family wristbands on request.
Windsor, Berkshire · United Kingdom · Ride Access Pass

Ower, near Romsey, Hampshire · United Kingdom · Queue Assist Pass
A free Queue Assist Pass, booked in advance with a Nimbus Access Card ID, lets you wait away from the main queue at listed rides.
Evidence: A valid Access Card ID with a standing and queueing, urgent toilet, difficulty standing or difficulty in crowds symbol. A registered disability alone does not qualify.
Companions: At least one helper over 14 must ride with the holder; the maximum number of carers varies by ride.
Chertsey, Surrey · United Kingdom · App pre-booking
The Merlin Ride Access Pass is a virtual queue for eligible visitors, booked in an app before each visit, and the holder is timed out for about the standby wait at each ride.
Evidence: Nimbus assesses the barriers you face and may ask for supporting documents. The park's pages give conflicting application timing and do not name UK or EU documents as a substitute.
Companions: The pass holder plus up to three companions, at least one aged 14 or over; a Red pass needs an essential companion aged 14 or over.
