Compare nine source-linked accommodation leads and privately compare two exact rooms with a printable access checklist.
Accommodation pages checked through 28 September 2026; earlier leads retain their 27 September review scope. These are desk-researched leads, not inspected rooms, availability checks, price comparisons, paid listings or guarantees for a particular device. Ask the property to confirm your exact booking in writing. The colour drawings are imaginative destination studies, not pictures of these hotels or rooms.
Nine different kinds of overnight lead
Start with a published feature that matters to your group, then test the missing details. The park profiles hold more of the journey and attraction context.
Kaatsheuvel, Netherlands
Efteling’s adapted stays
Published detail: The operator lists adapted rooms or houses at the Grand Hotel, Efteling Hotel, Loonsche Land and Bosrijk. The Grand Hotel Tower Room describes a walk-in shower; an Efteling Hotel Premium Room lists shower support and a seat on request. Loonsche Land’s Comfort Room has a shower seat and a bed approachable by wheelchair on both sides; Bosrijk’s Woodland House puts a double bedroom and adapted bathroom on the ground floor.
Still ask: Choose the exact unit and confirm any shower seat for your dates, door widths, transfer space, bed height and the route from its door to the park. A village stay can add a separate final leg.
Published detail: The resort lists a fully accessible four-person room at Colosseo, a six-person room at Santa Isabel and two connecting two-person rooms at Krønasår. It warns that rooms labelled “accessible friendly” may have restricted movement space. Its ring-route shuttle links the hotels with the park’s hotel guest entrance at intervals of at least 30 minutes.
Still ask: Confirm the exact room and measurements, accessible route to the chosen stop, wheelchair boarding on the actual shuttle and last return. The EP Express hotel station is another published option with two wheelchair spaces in its rear compartment; confirm operating arrangements for your date.
Published detail: The operator names Hotel LEGOLAND Multi-rooms with extra wheelchair and bathroom space (up to four guests, no more than three adults), selected Castle Hotel Superior bathrooms, and a Holiday Village Multi LEGO Ninjago cabin with an entrance ramp (up to four guests, no more than two adults).
Still ask: Confirm the exact unit and bed, shower and transfer layout; check the route from that door to the correct park entrance and back. A nearby hotel or ramped cabin is not proof of a complete step-free journey.
Published detail: The hotel publishes ten accessible rooms, including seven designed for reduced mobility. It lists two mobile shower chairs and a hoist on request; its room overview says bathroom layouts may have a walk-in shower or bath.
Still ask: Confirm the exact room and bathroom, hoist model and sling compatibility, equipment availability for your dates and the complete route to the park. The hotel says its pool, mini-golf and gym are inaccessible.
Published detail: The resort describes Hotel PortAventura, Gold River, Mansión de Lucy and Colorado Creek as having fully adapted rooms; El Paso and Caribe have partially adapted rooms. Those labels do not tell you the bed and bathroom dimensions.
Still ask: Discuss the exact shower, toilet, bed and room layout with the resort’s Booking Centre. A hotel booking does not issue the ride-access wristband.
Published detail: The hotel lists 24 disability rooms, an 80 cm room-door opening, a bed about 55 cm high and no threshold into the shower. It also states that parts of its restaurant are not wheelchair accessible.
Still ask: Confirm the room and transfer side, usable clearance, shower arrangement and accessible restaurant seating. This is a city hotel lead, not a verified accessible journey to Linnanmäki.
Published detail: IHG lists four accessible rooms with bathroom grab bars and turning space, accessible lifts and two designated parking spaces by a flat route to the entrance. Its room page does not give exact transfer or shower dimensions.
Still ask: Confirm the precise room, bed and shower configuration, any equipment and the hotel-to-Movie Park transfer in both directions. This Ruhr-area hotel is not a verified walk or accessible shuttle to the park.
Published detail: The hotel says one of its 220 rooms is adapted for reduced mobility and that rooms have kitchenettes. The page does not specify that room’s bed, bathroom, transfer or equipment measurements.
Still ask: Confirm availability and the exact adapted room for your dates, its shower and transfer arrangement, and the route to dining. Arrange and check the separate journey to Zoomarine and any beach access.
Published detail: IHG lists three accessible rooms among 98, with bathroom grab bars, turning space and built-in transfer shower seats. It describes three designated accessible parking spaces by flat terrain and explicitly says no local shuttle is available.
Still ask: Confirm the exact room, bed and shower-seat dimensions, transfer direction and breakfast route for your dates. Arrange a separate accessible park transfer or verify each rail and bus leg; the hotel has no local shuttle.
Send the questions that match your needs; request a room plan or photographs where a description is too broad. Do not send diagnoses to this guide.
Which exact room or unit will be reserved? What are the clear door widths, thresholds, turning space and lift dimensions along the route?
What is the bed height, space beside and beneath the bed, and which transfer side is clear? Does a companion need an adjoining room?
Is the bathroom a level shower or a bath in that particular room? Check shower chair, toilet height, grab rails and transfer space.
Is a hoist or other equipment actually available for the dates, compatible with your sling and usable in the booked room? Arrange personal care separately if needed.
Can you reach breakfast, rest areas and the park entrance using the route and vehicle that will operate on your dates?
A PRIVATE DECISION AID
Compare two actual rooms
Use the linked leads above as starting points, then ask each property about the exact room and your journey. Mark only what the property has confirmed for your dates. The answers stay in this page while it is open; this worksheet does not submit or store them. Print or save a PDF yourself if you want a copy. Do not enter diagnoses, documents or booking references.
A “confirmed” answer records your own enquiry, not a verification or recommendation by this guide. An unresolved or unsuitable essential detail is a reason to ask again before booking. The two rooms are not ranked.
Plan the route from your door to the gate
“Near the park” is not an accessible route. Ask about surface, slopes, rest points, crossings and shuttle boarding for your device; check the return after closing as carefully as arrival. The journey toolkit and other days out can help turn one park day into a more flexible trip.
