Practical trade-offs
- The Special Pass does not shorten the stated regular wait and requires a working phone and attention to return times. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: License to Drive is excluded.
- Feldhausen station normally lies near the park but its service is suspended from 4 to 30 September 2026; a replacement bus is another unverified boarding step.
- An accessible parking area or general wheelchair-suitable toilet description does not establish a guaranteed bay, an adult changing bench or a step-free route to each attraction.
What to arrange
Collect the Special Pass at the guest information / lost-and-found desk, then reserve the next attraction on your phone and return at the stated time via the Speedy Pass entrance.
Documents and eligibility

Boarding, transfers and ride restrictions
The wait is stated to match the standard queue. The pass is not valid for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: License to Drive, and individual ride conditions apply.

The operator normally describes a roughly 400-metre walk from Feldhausen station. Its current directions say trains do not serve that station from 4 to 30 September 2026, with replacement buses from Dorsten. This dated notice was checked 27 September; check the live service again before any later trip.
The access check: Confirm the replacement bus wheelchair or scooter boarding, lift status, departure and return times directly with the operator. The published distance is not a measured step-free door-to-door route. Do not rely on the station description during the closure.

Bus or car to the entrance
The park lists bus 267 via Essen and Bottrop to the Movie Park stop at the main entrance, and directs drivers via A31 exit 39 Bottrop-Feldhausen. It lists designated accessible parking in area C near the entrance for eligible guests.
The access check: Confirm a bus departure and wheelchair space for the actual date; a route number alone does not prove boarding. For area C, check credentials, availability and the path to your chosen entrance. Follow parking staff and avoid residential restricted lanes.

Where to stay
Holiday Inn Express Oberhausen is a specific Ruhr-area accommodation lead: IHG lists four accessible rooms, bathroom grab bars and turn space, accessible lifts, two designated parking spaces and a level route from parking to the hotel entrance. This is a published room/facility description, not an inspected room or an endorsement.
Check before booking: Before paying, ask IHG to confirm the exact room and bed dimensions, transfer side, shower arrangement and equipment you require. Care and rest facilities
The park describes wheelchair-suitable larger toilets in most areas, with exceptions by the Ferris wheel and in some restaurants. Lost and Found near the entrance rents wheelchairs; First Aid is in Nickelodeon LAND by Avatar Air Glider and cannot dispense medication. The operator asks assistance-dog handlers to register at the ticket office and keep the dog on a lead; dogs cannot enter attractions or shows.
Check before booking: Ask about the exact toilet layout, adult-changing equipment, wheelchair availability, medication arrangements and where a dog can wait with a companion. A wheelchair-suitable toilet is not a Changing Places facility.

Grugapark Essen
Gardens and a circular main-path option offer a different pace when a group wants outdoor space instead of another screen or ride.
Published access details: The city describes largely barrier-free main paths, alternatives around major stairs, designated toilet points, wheelchair loan by preorder and deposit, and a lift from U11 Messe Ost/Gruga to the main entrance.
Limitations to check: “Largely” does not cover every path. Confirm the specific route, gradient, toilet equipment, loan availability, lift service and weather before travel.
Getting there: The venue lists parking at P1 and Virchowstraße as well as the U11 approach. Verify the entire hotel-to-entrance journey and final return separately; this is a regional excursion, not a walk from Movie Park.
